Join our Sales & Marketing team with an unmatched depth of capabilities and help our customers solve some of the world’s toughest challenges!Discover Impactful Work:This is an account manager sales position covering a portfolio of products in the cell biology, molecular biology, protein and imaging areas that requires the development of sales and technical proficiency. The candidate will be provided the opportunity to learn and develop skills vital to perform all job duties.This position is crafted to promote the development of the successful candidate who has achieved the academic requirements, may have practical lab experience and has demonstrated a sales proficiency applicable to the position, but may lack sales experience in our industry.A day in the Life:

Consistently achieve or exceed the territory sales plan & demonstrate use of strategic selling skills to penetrate & grow both current & new business.

Develop, write, and implement a business plan for assigned territory annually, updated quarterly. Regularly develop & lead customer facing meetings, events, presentations, and proposals with assistance of support teams. Use data sources to analyze and capitalize on territory opportunities with the greatest value. Maintain and increase current customer database through our customer relations management (CRM) system Salesforce. Communicate key activities, trends, and changing customer dynamics & objectives and action to management regularly.

Participate in programs as presented by the company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with Thermo Fisher philosophy, policies and procedures.

Understand and use product features, benefits and applications to craft a value proposition & provide solutions to our customers.

Keys to Success:Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or related field required. Master's degree a plus.

Experience

Molecular or Cell Biology wet lab experience preferred

Selling and/or customer contact experience desired

Digital skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or like programs required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Must possess strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication & presentation skills

Self-directed, persistent & goal oriented

Able to work effectively independently & collaboratively

Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task & work in a highly matrixed environment

Exhibit a high degree of flexibility to adapt in a constantly evolving environment

Overnight travel may be required for customer visits, trainings & meetings

The annual salary range estimated for this position is $43,500-$61,000. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
