THE POSITION
EAG Studio is seeking a technically savvy, creatively driven, and highly organized Interior Designer to join our growing team. You will work closely with the Principal and collaborate with our talented group of designers and architects across a wide variety of residential and commercial projects. This role blends design excellence, hands-on field work, and dynamic project management. As an Interior Designer at EAG Studio, your work will involve:
Developing original, thoughtful, client-centric design concepts
Selecting fixtures, finishes, materials, fabrics, and FFE
Producing digital storyboards, mood boards, and presentation packages
Drawing custom furniture, built-ins, and millwork
Space planning and furniture configuration
Managing procurement, samples, orders, and vendor coordination
Maintaining and curating the materials library
Creating and refining typical interior and architectural details
Proactively communicating with clients, builders, consultants, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution
Your work will also extend to site visits, field verifications, and collaborating with our architects as projects move from design into construction.
Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, enjoys taking ownership of their work, and is excited to contribute to the execution of active construction projects, all orchestrated with precision, intention, and a deep commitment to client experience.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
"The ideal candidate for this role is a balanced blend of designer, project manager, communicator, and problem-solver—someone who elevates every project through both creativity and disciplined organization. This person thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys owning their work from concept through construction, and brings positivity, curiosity, and professionalism to every interaction. You are someone who:
Lives and breathes design
Is deeply detail-oriented
Enjoys designing as much as implementing in the field
You naturally generate strong, original design concepts and refine them thoughtfully
You have an intuitive sense of materials, textures, lighting, and composition
You take joy in selecting finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and in developing cohesive interior stories
Produce, refine, and coordinate Revit drawings to high graphic standards
Prepare Lumion renderings for presentations and design development
Assist with permit submissions, resubmittals, and in-person DBI routing
Work closely with the principal, architects, interior designers, and builders
Support design development across architecture, interiors, and landscape scopes
Maintain consistency in drafting standards and project documentation
Collaborate with the team to resolve design and construction challenges
You understand that details make or break a space
You document carefully, review drawings methodically, and maintain high accuracy in all deliverables
You enjoy refining the “micro-details” of interiors—custom millwork, cabinetry, built-ins, and specialty elements
Communicates with confidence and warmth
You work well with clients, vendors, builders, and colleagues.
You know how to translate ideas visually and verbally
You proactively clarify expectations and follow up to keep projects moving smoothly
Thrives in collaboration
You enjoy being part of a team and contributing to something bigger than yourself
You can take direction gracefully, ask good questions, and integrate feedback quickly
You appreciate the depth of working alongside architects, landscape designers, consultants, and project managers
Manages complexity with calm and clarity
You are comfortable juggling multiple projects at different stages.
You are reliable, punctual, and consistent in your workflow.
You can anticipate next steps, flag potential issues early, and propose solutions instead of roadblocks.
Has a practical, builder-friendly mindset
You understand—or want to master—how decisions impact cost, lead times, feasibility, and construction sequencing.
You design with budgets in mind and value-engineer gracefully when needed.
You enjoy visiting job sites and seeing your design become reality.
Is motivated, resourceful, and self-directed
You take initiative, stay organized, and keep things moving without being micromanaged.
You see deadlines as commitments and quality as non-negotiable.
You have a personal sense of ownership and pride in your work.
Enjoys structure but also brings creativity
You thrive in an environment with clear processes but know when to think outside the box.
You maintain consistency while injecting your own design voice.
You love learning new systems and refining existing ones.
Communicates clearly and comfortably with internal teams, vendors, clients and builders
Appreciates the balance between design intent, constructability, and budget
Is positive, resourceful, proactive, and self-directed
Consistently demonstrates determination to adopt for firm graphical, drafting and business process standards
