Job Description

The

IT Analyst reports to the Regional IT Manager – West US and provides hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner ensures maximum access to and implementation of technology services and resources.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Build strong relationships with end users and provide Tier 1 customer service.
  • Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Implements, installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots and evaluates existing and new Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Resolve help desk tickets as assigned
  • Involved in diagnosing and correcting system related failures and performing system management activities; determines logical solutions to complex system administration and application problems.
  • Management of Active Directory and O365 users, computers and mailboxes.
  • Maintain, install and troubleshoot network components and peripherals; copiers, printers, workstation terminals, Cisco switches, VOIP phones, VPN Networks
  • Support administration of Citrix, EMC, and VMware environment
  • Determine users’ technical needs and provide them with appropriate solutions
  • Maximizes network and systems performance through monitoring tools
  • Maintain documentation of technical maintenance procedures
  • Regularly confers with members of the IT Team and users regarding current and prospective system changes and future needs.
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned by IT Management or business leadership.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a minimum 5+ years related experience and/or training OR a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related field with a minimum of 2+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in implementing high availability Microsoft Windows servers in a high-speed network and integrating workstations with Active Directory.
  • Experience in administration of vmware hosts and virtual machines.
  • Experience in writing system documentation, system specifications / requirements and training materials.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with remote and onsite users.
  • Ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; detail orientated with high appreciation for excellence and quality.

Technical Skillset:

  • Desktop/Laptop: Antivirus, Basic Troubleshooting, Firmware Upgrades, Imaging (MDT/WDS)
  • Microsoft Stack: Active Directory, Office 365, Powershell, Windows
  • Terminal Services/VDI: Citrix XenApp, Windows RDS
