INDIST#Job Description:DimensionsResponsible for one to three products or servicesLow up to moderate complex product development and servicesOversee and participate in business analysis and organizational change managementSupport and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog and prioritization.Understand and adhere to IT and corporate governance processes.Nature and ScopeThis position provides agile leadership and oversight for low to moderate-complexity products/efforts/delivery teams, which provide solutions to a narrow range of products/solutions in focused business areas.Focus is on delivering Information Technology features/outcomes to internal groups involving new or improved practices, procedures, techniques, or systems.Implementation is accomplished through small cross-functional teams which are not direct reports and are shared resources.Teams will be comprised of individuals from multiple departments and typically single business units and geographical locations.Influencing skills are leveraged, combined with the ability to execute.May require minimal travel to overcome geographic, technical, and cultural barriers.Incumbent exercises judgment following department policies, practices, procedures, and techniques.The incumbent will lead the agile activities supported with moderate direction and supervision.Customers vary based on services or productsActivities will be managed in Azure DevOps or another agile toolingWork is reviewed by product owners and supervisorsWork can be conducted in person or remote fashion based on the requirement of the sponsorsThis position report to a manager and has dotted line reporting to agile centers of excellencePrincipal AccountabilitiesLead the team ceremonies: Scrum sprint planning, grooming, sprint demos, and retrospectiveFacilitate team conflict resolution by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty, and respectHelp a team/individual/product owners clarify goals and actions to achieve themFacilitate team to estimate and plan product/solution in a variety of tools with minor supervisionEnsure team is incorporating feedback from customers, end-users, and key stakeholders to increase value for our customers continuallyShield teams from outside distraction/interferenceTrack and remove impediments with little to no assistanceCollaborate with functional SMEs to better define product scope, goals, and deliverablesCollect business requirements to enable the team to prioritize features/capabilities within the backlogWork with the Product Owner to document and make visible the product/solution scope, goals, and deliverablesDevelop estimates, schedules, effort, and cost based on best practices and experienceDevelop and manage a comprehensive plan for products/solutions.Identify capacity related risks, recommend potential mitigation, and escalate appropriately, and remediateCreate an environment of accountability within the delivery teamWork closely with functional team members to understand product/solution inter-dependencies.Execute product delivery based on agile methodologies defined by the enterpriseBecome proficient at using DevOps/Agile tooling and related toolsWork with subject matter experts to ensure that teams are consistently delivering the highest valuePrepare, present and review provided features and capabilities regularly with product owners and stakeholdersWork with internal and external technology suppliers and product owners to ensure an accurate product/solution budget and manage to itManage scope, communicating risks to scope, timeline, budget, and resolve issuesIdentify, document, and escalate resource constraints, conflicts, and impedimentsBuild strong partnerships with business stakeholders to meet project deliverables and benefit caseEnsure product/solution alignment with enterprise standards and processesCreate an appropriate support model that addresses the support need of the product/solutionUpdate technical and job knowledge by learning from more senior-level scrum masters, self-education, and read professional publicationsQualifications:5+ years of IT experience or equivalent or 5+ years of product/project management experience4+ years of agile/scrum experienceBS degree or equivalentThree plus years of experience working in an Agile environment as a Scrum MasterKnowledge and demonstrated expertise in applying Agile best practices, Scrum ceremonies, and scaled Agile practicesTwo years of experience in the software development life cycle (requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, release cycle, support)Experience running the five Scrum ceremoniesTwo plus years of experience in sprint and program increment planningExperience implementing Agile estimation techniquesTwo plus years of experience in removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to aid in doing soTwo plus years of experience at fostering a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment, where there is an emphasis on problem-solvingSelf-starter, initiative, leadership, excellent judgment, excellent problem solving, excellent communication, and human relations skillsWorking knowledge of program management concepts and approachesThe ability to facilitate cross-functional teams across the IT organization and related business groupsProficient in Office 365 applications (MS Project, Outlook, Teams, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype, etc.)Basic experience using Azure DevOps or similar applicationsPreferred:Five plus years of progressively responsible job-related experienceExperience working with Product OwnersExperience creating product backlogsCertified Scrum Master (CSM)One year experience working on teams developing large, complex product solutionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a highly collaborative fashionDeep knowledge of IT infrastructure (Network, Database, Server) technologies and conceptsPrevious experience leading Information Technology programs and projectsAbility to immerse oneself in an industrial software market and quickly add value to a projectThe multi-disciplined individual with familiarity in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures related to modern web development, content management systems, mobile application development, user experience, and responsive designStrength in guiding
