IT Project Manager for

our direct client.

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 11 Months.

Description

  • IT Project Manager is responsible for planning and execution of complex cross-functional projects associated with driving scalability in Financial and Business Applications (Procure to Pay, Finance, Product & Engineering operations) and Shared services (DevOps + Application Support Services).
  • Projects will span a broad range from implementation of new software systems, scale up for product launches, integration of acquisitions. Key Skills to have
  • Understanding of headcount planning, P&L planning, and capital planning
  • Knowledge of financial systems and SOX compliance
  • Ability to understand the difference between CAPEX and OPEX

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Gain cross-functional alignment on strategies, goals, resources and timelines. Cross-functional teams include Finance, Manufacturing, Operations, Security, Applications, Infrastructure, IT, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Compliance, Field Service, Customer Service, and other Business Units.
  • Partner with business PM and drive Organization Change Management – stakeholder analysis, communication plans, training material and end user training, solution adoption
  • Provide input for budgets and monitor performance to budgets
  • Ensure compliance to internal business and quality system requirements and to external regulatory standards
  • Perform audits and oversee project/program governance
  • Organize and lead core team and executive steering committee meetings
  • Ability to lead daily stand up calls and follow up on subsequent actions
  • Provide clear communication to the organization on project status, critical path, as well as potential areas of risk
  • Drive resolution of constraints, conflicts and other challenges that could impact timely and successful execution of projects
  • Create, manage project plan and assign tasks to team members
  • Track and manage project budget
  • Ensure effective communication methods/mediums
  • Manage coordination of the working groups engaged in project work
  • Record, manage project issues and escalate when necessary, ensuring resolution on a timely basis.
  • Manage resource requirements.
  • Manage project scope and change control
  • Monitor project progress and performance
  • Provide status reports to the project sponsor and steering committee
  • Work with project owners to ensure business needs are met
  • Work with the team facilitating meetings, assisting in tasks, etc.
  • Define and manage the Test plan
  • Ensure adherence to the Project Management methodology
  • Act as Test/Validation Lead, Training Lead, Cutover Lead, OCM lead and Project Coordinator except where the size of the project justifies a separate resource for one or more of these roles.
  • Manage (including ensuring the quality of) project deliverables in line with the project plan:
  • Kick Off Presentation
  • Detailed Project Schedule in MS Project/Smartsheet
  • Project Budget vs. Actuals
  • Business Blueprint
  • Test Plan
  • Training Plan
  • Lead UAT calls and defect resolution
  • Cutover Schedule in MS Project/Smartsheet

Required Skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to lead, influence and work well at all levels of an organization and in a cross functional team environment
  • Ability to handle ambiguity effectively and oversee multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data, set actionable goals and drive metrics and execution
  • Minimum 8 years of experience involved in leading major cross-functional projects in Manufacturing or Supply Chain or Medical Device Operations
  • Medical device experience is a plus
  • Experience with supervising people desired
  • Certification in project management (PMP) desired
  • BS or equivalent work experience
