IT Security Analyst

job summary:

• Ensure overall day-to-day compliance of all IT systems in the program through scanning, reporting, and management of the remediation throughout the entire supercomputing facility.
• Must be able to understand the security vulnerability analysis with any possible issue.
• Support the Annual Security Assessment and oversee technical support groups to prepare the program for the assessment that grants the
  Authority to Operate (ATO). Coordinate/oversee technical support groups efforts.Ability to interpret security controls and how they apply to our environment.
• Manage all identified deficiencies through to remediation with all technical support groups.
• Manage activities to protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources; identify abnormalities and reporting violations.
• Implement security improvements by assessing current baseline configurations and evaluating trends.
• Oversee audits of computer systems to ensure they are operating securely, and that data is protected from both internal and external attack. Makes recommendations for preventive measures as necessary.
• Provide Security Plan analysis and updates. In coordination with technical support groups.
• Support Facility Contingency Plan Testing by working with technical support groups.
