IT Security Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking a IT Security Engineer to join one of CA’s most prestigious universities. This is a contract, remote capable role. In this role, you will help deploy new Cisco firewalls, VPN support, and manage firewall rules among other tasks.

• Help deploy new Cisco firewalls, VPN support, manage firewall rules,
• Participating in Border Project
• Handle ServiceNow support tickets related to network security
• Participate in border firewall patching, troubleshooting issues, Cisco VPN patching, maintain site to site VPNs, patch departmental firewalls.

• Three (3) years of direct IT Security related work experience.
• Working knowledge of enterprise next-generation Firewall, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, VPN technologies, and ability to administer the full lifecycle of the devices.
• Experience with both Cisco and Palo Alto products.
• Working knowledge of enterprise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems or other proactive security event log alerting tools.
• Experience performing network and web application vulnerability scanning.
