The Plant IT/OT Engineer is responsible for :This position will serve as the technical expert to bridge the gap between Information Technology and Operations Technology. This role will focus on the use of technology and data to improve business processes and involves project planning, management, and implementation. Success will require knowledge of I.T. infrastructure, networking, data management, and manufacturing processes.

This position will serve our division located in Oxnard, CA.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Troubleshoot routine problems associated with the LAN and WAN connectivity under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Configure, install, support, and maintain standard server hardware and software under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Provide support for plant floor applications not limited to connectivity for HMI, PLC, and other shop floor technologies.
  • Maintain familiarity and compliance with company technical standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Handle assigned tasks related to procurement, documentation, reporting, etc.
  • Perform delegated tasks on projects of all sizes and scopes under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Facilitate and support the numerous manufacturing process and control systems within Operations, collaborating with Engineering, IT, Operations and Corporate management, and vendor resources
  • Provide production support and maintenance for OT systems including Environmental Health & Safety, OEE and Plant Key Performance Metrics, Process Controls and Automation
  • Manage data collection, transformation and storage from Operations processes and equipment
  • Configure, manage, and maintain software used in data collection, analysis, and display

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 3 + years of experience in project management, IT and/or engineering related fields.
  • High technical aptitude
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, engineers, business teams) and external subject matter experts
  • Experience with OPC data acquisition & communication (NodeRed, Kepware, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL database management
  • Experience with Cloud IaaS and SaaS
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations
  • Ability to work after hours (system upgrades, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Project management training preferred.
  • Any other key required components of the role to be a strong candidate
