Overview:We are looking for an IT Windows/AWS Server Administrator who has experience being responsible for day-to-day deployment and support of infrastructure environments. The position will be part of the IT organization that will interface with global employees in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas.Our client’s adaptable suite of products include Data Acquisition & Management Systems, Wireless Data Transfer Systems, Flight Data Analysis & Investigation Solutions, Data Loading Solutions, Aircraft Network Systems. Combined together, these products provide comprehensive data management solutions that leverage aircraft data intelligence and create value for our customers.“We have a stronger focus on the Windows piece, but if they also had AWS experience, then we would be willing to pay higher. This one can be located in El Segundo, Thousand Oaks, or Eagan, MI. This position is not really a replacement, but we did have someone doing pieces of this work a couple years ago. This area has more business now and we are lacking the necessary skillsets locally”. RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:· Implementation and support of secure infrastructure which consists of networks, servers, databases, applications and systems within the hosted services environments· Follow direction and governance from IT/ Infrastructure and Security teams so all systems adhere to company standards and company baseline IT Security Plans· Setup and availability of business-critical customer accessible systems; focusing on uptime, scalability and security· Ensures the appropriate backup and archive of all systems including customer data, based on contractual agreements· Maintain and develop procedures/systems to ensure appropriate access control to customers’ data· Explain highly technical solutions to non-technical staff, crisp clear communication and ability to explain solutions and how they provide value· Maintain system integrity and security enhancements and monitoring, including maintenance of component inventory, lifecycle management and related documentation· Create and maintain documentation relating to systems; networking architecture and setup· Monitors effectiveness of existing systems. Provides improvement plans and recommendations.· Arrange monitoring and reporting of system health and performance· Provision servers· Ensure appropriate software installations, and software upgrades/patching QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
