Position: JAVA Kafka Developer Location: San Francisco, CA 94111 – Onsite day oneDuration: 4 months to C2HJava developer who worked extensively on Kafka in the recent projectsDetails of the role / application, as appropriate:Over 7 years of experience in building, re-architecting and refactoring of the Java codebase for critical applications. Python experience is a plusOver 3 years of working experience in Kafka (Consumption, publishing and streaming) architecture and integrationsOver 3 years of working experience in Spark with Scala and processing of streamed data from KafkaSignificant knowledge and working experience in Java concurrency modules and multi-threading implementations of critical applications in productionExperience in migration of Java code from JDK 7 to 8 and/or 11 or later versionsVery good understanding of RDBMS (Oracle) and data warehouse (Vertica) as programmer to optimize the performance of complex queriesSignificant experience in writing Junit for Java code coverageSignificant experience in containers and micro services life cycleSignificant experience in Spring modules, maven build scripts etc.Knowledge of Drools based rules engineSome experience in UI development and building contract for RESTful API in backendKnowledge of Hazelcast or distributed caching frameworksBasic Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana
