Description Robert Half is seeking a California barred Attorney Editor with Criminal Law experience to assist our client with an ongoing legal research initiative. Project information:

Start: September 2024

Duration: 1+ month

Pay: $45/hour

Location: Remote

Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Responsibilities include:Our client is looking for California criminal law attorney with at least 5 years’ experience to help draft, review, and revise practical guidance articles on criminal law topics, review and update motions, affidavits, and other related criminal law documents and supplement existing documents with state-specific, “how-to” practical guidance based on state law, local custom, and legal practice experience.Requirements:

Law degree from an accredited law school

Member, in good standing, of the California State Bar

5+ years of experience as a practicing criminal law attorney.

Excellent writing, editing, and legal research skills

Comfortable working in Microsoft Word with track changes and conducting online research

Effective written and oral communication skills

Ability to complete assigned projects by prescribed deadlines

Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks effectively

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a practicing criminal law attorney in California to be considered for this role. Requirements Must possess a Law Degree from an accredited law school Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and other relevant software for document creation and editing Demonstrated experience in conducting legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Lexis Proven experience in drafting motions and preparing affidavits Strong knowledge of Criminal Law Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to conduct thorough and accurate research Experience in reviewing legal documents and editing them as required Proficiency in using templates for document creation Experience in using 'About Time' or similar software for time management Aptitude for understanding and applying Conductivity in legal contexts Familiarity with law school coursework and its practical applications Experience in handling tasks such as photocopying and scanning documents Ability to work independently and also contribute effectively in a team.
