Junior Sailing Manager

About This Position & Requirements:

Junior Sailing Manager oversees day-to-day activities of all students, instructors, and lake safety.

Junior Sailing Manager is the program administration, meet with students and parents. Summer Sailing Academy June thru August 2026, work 6 hours daily Mon-Fri. Help manage Junior sailors regatta participation at WYC and other yacht clubs. Certification, similar to CPR, personal training certifications, are required in comparable fields.

The manager should have experience supporting youth programs and community organizations.

Skilled in coordinating events, managing schedules and creating safe, well-run programs. Skilled in fostering positive relationships, solving problems quickly, and maintaining a calm and welcoming environment.

Ability to work with Excel, Word. Use tools for scheduling, notes, and tracking daily procedures.

Responsibilities include working with youth ages 9-17. Conducting check-ins or sessions.

Maintaining timely communication and professional boundaries.

Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and behavior.

Must be able to swim, climb stairs, lift 40lbs and work outdoors for extended periods.

Also help set up and break down sailing gear.

Must have some sailing knowledge.
