Job Description

The Opportunity:

Manager in IT overseeing Quality Management System, Quality Applications, Safety, Regulatory and Compliance, and Sustainability platforms, which helps drive business drive quality, safety, and compliance required to sell our products in global markets.This role will manage a team of business analysts. The Manager will need to partner with the business on process harmonization and requirements, with the architects on solution alignment and with our developers to deliver capabilities that are aligned with our business strategy and goals.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Partner with the business process owners to obtain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Mattel business processes with attention to opportunities for improvement – both via process re-engineering and from automation through technology.
  • Manage the development of business requirement and business case documents, along with financial justification and ROI for all initiatives.
  • Work with business to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions; use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; and take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences during business requirement gathering stage of a project/initiative.
  • Manage the development of “as is” – “to be” process flows.
  • Develop and sustain productive customer relationships.
  • Lead User Acceptance testing, to ensure that the system addresses the business needs from the user’s point of view.
  • Manage multiple projects and personnel to coordinate all aspects of implementation and delivery of tasks necessary for successful project execution.
  • Coordinate Organization Change Management in alignment with the “to be” state.
  • Maintain effective knowledge of the Quality Management processes, as well as thorough awareness of trends and developments of emerging technologies, evaluating all for appropriateness and benefit to the organization.
  • Evaluate timing of software version upgrades and facilitate migrations.
  • Partner with GTO Client Services, to ensure timely and effective support/break/fix and add/change services.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience working in IT in a global delivery function
  • Must have working knowledge in 2 or more of the following domains: Quality Management, Laboratory Management, Regulatory Compliance, or Sustainability
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking mindset
  • Able to work with contractors and consultants to drive outcome
  • Comfortable presenting to business stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed organization to drive outcome
  • Open to travel as needed (approximately 10%)
  • Experience with compliance documentation management and support.
  • Experience with managing a Quality Management System with various modules that satisfy Quality, Safety, and Compliance requirements.
  • Experience with quality applications such as Polarion, STARLIMS, Chemical Management Database, Dexi – Data Scrapping Tool, and iCiX is preferred.
  • Oracle Agile PLM, or Salesforce Service Cloud experiences (not required, but good to have).
  • Analytical and reporting skills. Such as creating dashboards and establishing KPIs. Experience with PowerBI, Cognos, Tableau, and Google Data Lake is preferred.
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods or Fast Fashion industries preferred
