Job Summary:The Lead Dispatcher will be responsible for managing the Dispatch team. Some of these responsibilities will be as follows but not limited to, emergency response situations, communications during lift opening and closing to ensure a smooth and on-time opening/closing of the resort to the public and for snow reporter, keep key functions within the resort apprised of progress and anticipated delays. This will ensure timely customer service by facilitating reports of lift stoppages to affected parties, keeping track of down times and alerting responders of time elapsed as it affects our compensation policy.Job Specifications:

Expected Pay Range: $20.79 - $27.00 / hour

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year Round Full Time

Job Responsibilities:

Facilitate communications between on mountain services (Lift Ops, Lift Maintenance, Lodges, Food and Beverage, etc.) qualified medical personnel and Ski Patrol.

Facilitate communication between guest services, other functions, and Security to promote timely responses.

Facilitate communication between mountain dispatch, transportation dispatch, and snow reporting.

Monitor heavy (6 line) phone volume and two-way (10 channel) radio traffic. Make announcements as required by changing conditions and situations.

Uphold and exemplify mission, vision, and value statements ofthe communication center.

Update Electronic Signage Boards.

During down time, facilitate training and leadership development.

Keep an up to date log of operations, downtime and other reports as necessary.

Monitor weather and keep MOD updated with changing conditions.

Scheduling of Dispatch staff to ensure proper coverage.

Manage the Heavenly 2-way radios and Repeaters as well as updated radio inventory.

Work with Health and Safety on ERP functions as necessary.

Oversee the day to day Dispatch and Snow Reporter operations.

40 hours/week. 4 days on, 3 days off at 10 hours per day.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Computer Skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

A clear speaking voice; clear command and understanding of the English language.

Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries in a coherent and professional fashion.

Must have the ability to multi-task and perform during stressful situations

Must possess the basic and mathematical skills of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing all basic units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Organizational and administrative experience, or a combination of comparable knowledge and skills.

Preferred Skills:

Emergency Response Accreditations.

Previous work experience in radio Dispatch and/or Emergency Response.

2+ years of Mountain/Ski Resort experience.

Strong Microsoft Office skills – including Google applications.

Ability to multitask in high pressure situations with strong written and verbal communication skills.

The expected pay range is $20.79 - $27.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
