We are currently seeking a Lead Market Salesperson.The Farmers' Market is an exciting and dynamic place to be. Positive customer service is our goal as well as an acquired deep knowledge of our product and ingredients. Individuals must find enjoyment in greeting and serving people and be excited to talk about our product. Days can be long with a steady line of excited customers. We are known for our dedication to using local and in-season ingredients, commitment to sustainability, and the quality and care of every baked good. We take delight in what we do and have fun doing it. Farmer's Market Salesperson shares this delight and labor of love with all who come to our booth, through care in talking about products as well as presenting them in the best possible way. Market days are Thursdays through Sundays.The Lead coordinates and oversees farmer's market operations. Providing a positive customer service experience, pleasing booth design, and displaying an acquired deep knowledge of our product & ingredients.In general, the Lead also maintains an updated market staff manual, trains all farmer's market staff on proper booth set up, van maintenance, equipment care, market packing, sales drawer protocol, general customer sales and service, product care & knowledge & health department requirements. Maintains a functioning POS system and proper charging protocol. Communicates with bread, pastry leads re: product & customer response. Communicates with market management regarding changes to our market attendance.Farmer's Market Lead Salesperson requirements:Be a strong communicator, both spoken and in writing, including texts and emailsBe physically capable of the job requirements, including heavy lifting and standing for long periods of timeHave the ability to work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining an organized work space Have strong multi tasking ability Be collaborative and driven Have or obtain food handlers certificate, and adherence to safe food handling practices Full participation in being a sustainable and low impact business Food Handlers CertificateValid California Driver's License required with clean driving record, references.About Brickmaiden - Brickmaiden is located in downtown Point Reyes Station, adjacent to the Point Reyes National Seashore. Over the past 21 years Brickmaiden Breads has established a reputation for delicious and high quality baked goods. We are a wholesale & retail facility. We sell to local grocery stores and restaurants and retail through farmer's markets and our bake shop & cafe on the premises. Our property includes a beautiful edible garden that is open to our staff & visitors. What guides our work: community, ingredient and product quality, and sustainability on all levels. We strive to work with small farms, businesses and independent growers to help promote organic and sustainable practices. We bake naturally leavened breads, and a variety of pastry along with a small line of packaged items. We source a variety of grain from local farmers which we mill in house. We also source organic flour and grain from Central MIlling.
