Position Title: Sr/Lead QA Automation Engineer

Position Summary: Our client is looking for a QA Automation Engineer with hands on experience with test automation and functional testing for Web based Enterprise application using advanced test automation framework like cucumber along with experience with API Testing (SOAP UI or Postman). Responsible for testing software applications across QA/Test lifecycle of an application i.e. SIT, UAT, Functional testing etc.; In Group B - responsible for designing automation test suites, setting up performance test systems and developing end-to-end system tests.

THINGS YOU'LL DO

build automated frameworks, tools, tests, and infrastructure to help drive software qualitywork with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation details.work with SMEs to understand the test automation needs of the team and build the necessary test automation scriptswork with cross-functional teams such as Product Management, User Interaction, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models and develop test plans that validate approximate real-world scenariosplay a crucial role in driving the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies

EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:3 or more years of Sr Software Engineer in Test experience2 or more years of automated scripting experienceAbility to translate use cases and/or technical specifications into test casesAbility to write code (Java, Javascript, python) for automated web testing tools, services, and frameworksExperience automating REST API servicesExperience configuring test pipeline in JenkinsExperience in one or more Test Automation Frameworks Cucumber, selenium, Cypress, TestNGAbility to write code to package tests into regression test suitesStrong knowledge of QA methodology and toolsAbility to understand technical specifications and analyze log filesEffectively Communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settingsStrong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and can synthesize the resultsA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologiesAbility to perform and track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize the resultsCapable of digging into the business needs and translating them into test plans and processesProven ability as a problem-solver
