Boeing is seeking a Lead Real Time Software Engineer to work in the Seal Beach, CA location.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Address all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements and interface definition, design, development, and integration of embedded software for space-based applications, and product maintenance.
  • Be responsible for several parallel tasks as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team of systems and software engineers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).A final Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) is required pre-start.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years previous experience developing embedded software in C/C.
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Demonstrated team leadership.
  • Previous technical experience in an aerospace environment.
  • Self-motivated problem solver, capable of taking initiative with minimal instruction.
  • Able to problem solve in a clear and concise manner.
  • Possesses strong communication skills.
  • Experience in a RTOS environment using VxWorks and WindRiver's IDE Workbench.
  • Experience with software debugging and configuration management tools.
  • Experience with scripting tools and Unix/Linux shell programming

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
