The SF Fed Legal + Risk Group brings contemporary thinking and a risk-based approach to the table to solve problems and move the organization forward. Our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program's main objectives are to facilitate systematic risk management and establish effective risk policies that promote risk-intelligent decision-making. To assist in these goals, ERM provides a common framework for identifying, assessing and monitoring financial, operational and reputational risks at the business group and enterprise levels. This role reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer.

Top Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the management of enterprise risks across the organization and help implement the Bank's enterprise risk management framework
  • Lead risk engagements with 1st line of defense groups to understand risks profiles and mitigating actions
  • Support governance groups responsible for managing enterprise risks such as the Board of Directors Audit and Risk Management Committee and the Bank's risk committee
  • Oversee ongoing Bank-wide processes that support enterprise risk identification, risk monitoring, and risk reporting
  • Manage the risk event reporting policy and process, a multi-channel reporting tool for monitoring enterprise-wide risk
  • Lead project management of initiatives in support of Enterprise Risk Management
  • Lead cross-functional teams and staff with no direct authority
  • Develop timely, effective, and compelling enterprise risk communications to all levels of the organization
  • Build relationships and supports effective communication between the Legal + Risk Group, other business groups, other Reserve Banks, the Board of Governors, and the Board of Directors

Training, Skills and Other Certifications
  • Risk management-related certifications or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and banking is preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Tableau or equivalent data visualization software
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; fundamental analysis, research, and presentation creation
  • Written and verbal communication skills with people at all levels within the organization
  • Requires experience with projects involving multiple functions
  • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams
  • Knowledge of emerging technology trends and their impact on the financial services industry a plus

Qualifications
  • 8 or more years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Master's degree specialized in business or related field preferred

Base Salary Range: Min: $114,400 - Mid: $148,500 - Max: $182,700 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
