As a LoopNet marketplace Software Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for building applications that are using by millions of CRE users and professionals to market over trillion of dollars of CRE properties on the marketplace platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software. We firmly believe that what separates a good Team Lead from a great one is a deep understanding of the business that they are supporting.
  • Work directly with senior leaders in our Product Design and Technical organizations to design applications that amaze our customers.
  • Hands-on involvement in design, architecture and development activities using React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, NodeJS, Kafka, ElasticSearch , Elasticache, dynamoDB, BigQuery, SQL Server, Kibana, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Cloud Managed Services, etc .
  • Manage and coordinate a team of 2-5 software developers in building applications and platforms utilizing the Agile SDLC. Act as a player/coach.
  • Work with your QA resources to ensure that the software you deliver is of the highest quality.
  • Assist with deployments and work with DevOps to troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Monitor application metrics to ensure the expected results are met with continual user growth.
  • Make your team and those around you better at what they do by (1) hiring and developing the absolute best developers, (2) setting clear team objectives and (3) providing concise, timely and actionable guidance to team members. (4) Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be leveraged to strength CoStar's technology platform and develop practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of software development experience in C#/.NET
  • Strong awareness of modern technologies, (e.g. some of the following: React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript , NodeJS, GraphQL , Kafka, ElasticSearch , Elasticache, dynamoDB, BigQuery, SQL Server, Kibana, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Cloud Managed Services, etc.)
  • High proficiency in testing methodology, Agile methodology, test documentation procedures and QA Best Practices
  • 1+ years of team leadership experience
  • Solid web development and troubleshooting skills
  • Deliver work products that meet specifications, are defect free and performant
  • Excellent team building, negotiation and consensus building abilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • .NET Core preferred
  • A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products and/or platforms
  • Experience with Docker, AWS managed services, and Service Oriented Architecture a plus
  • Deliver work products that meet specifications, are defect free and performant
  • Experienced with tuning application performance, as well as writing unit and integration automated tests
  • Facilitate discussions among other developers to exchange ideas and introduce new technologies. Ability to build consensus among other technologist
  • Willingness to take an active role in mentoring other developers
  • Commercial Real Estate (CRE) knowledge is a bonus
  • Prior experience with internet marketplaces or data rich businesses is also a bonus
