JOB TITLE: Full-Time Live-in Caregiver

COMPENSATION: $19-23 per hour (based on experience)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

Open position for a full-time female Live-In Caregiver in a 6-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) in the City of Orange. We are looking for a trustworthy person who will treat our clients with care and compassion. Should have desire to work with seniors, helping them thrive in a residential home.

Strong ability to work as a team and collaborate for the best interest and care of the residents. Willing to learn and continuously improve caregiving skills.

Must have strong work ethic and a desire to provide services to the elderly. Brings dependability and professionalism to the team.

Must be available to work weekdays, evenings and weekends, as needed.

CAREGIVER JOB DESCRIPTION (Read thoroughly):

Must be 18 years or older.

Must have at least 9 months prior hands-on experience providing direct care and special services to the elderly; developmentally disabled caregiving experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Must have current health screening and TB test. Negative TB test result must be within 6 months.

Must be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 immunization and must include a booster shot.

Must be CPR and First Aid Certified.

Able and willing to attend all training courses required by the facility and the State in relation to providing care and services to the elderly in RCFE’s.

Must have current fingerprint clearance prior to employment from DOJ and FBI.

Able and willing to lift (40-50 lbs), bend, walk, move, turn, and stand for lengthy periods of time.

Must cook, clean, and assist clients with daily living skills.

Able to read, write, and speak English to communicate with clients, doctors, family members and others as needed.

Able and willing to provide a comfortable and loving environment while ensuring a sense of inclusion and normalization inn a family and community setting by assisting our clients with becoming as independent as possible.

Able and willing to reinforce elderly residents’ life quality outcomes such as choices, relationships, lifestyle, health and well-being, rights, and satisfaction.

Perform in accordance with the facility program.

Observe client behavior and report.

Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.

Administer medication timely, correctly and document each time.

Aid/perform grooming and dressing of clients.

Care and supervision.

Conduct emergency and disaster drills.

Help the clients plan their daily and community activities.

Good Neighbor Policy and responsibilities.

To ensure that each client is comfortable so that they can exercise their rights and choices. Each client will be encouraged to become independent and to reside in a less restricted environment.
