Under the direction of a Registered Nurse assesses patients chief complaints. Re-assesses patients vital signs and physical exam to assist in patient treatment. Works as a member of the patient care team in conjunction with physicians ancillary departments and other staff members. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to all patients presenting to Emergency Department. This position requires providing service to one or more age populations including ill neonate through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

QualificationsRequired Experience:

Less than 6 months of experience.

Education:

Graduate of an LVN School of Nursing.

Licensure/ Certifications:

Current CA LVN license.

IV Therapy Certification.

BLS through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience/ Certifications:

1 of year of experience is preferred.

ACLS & PALS is preferred.
