SSRS Medical Assistants hired with a start date greater than 6/1/22 will receive an incentive payment of $450 at three monthsand $1050 at twelve months of employment. Employee must be an SSRS employee at the time of the incentive payment.

To qualify, the MA must have one year of experience. All incentives are subject to tax.

These positions are full time Monday - Saturdaywith varied shifts between the hours of 7am - 7pm.

The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

  • Internal candidates
  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the followingcriteria must be met:

  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offerletter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis andmay result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically notedin your offer letter

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
  • BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of experience working as a Medical Assistant

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience supporting two or more providers
  • Experience rooming 15 or more patients per day
