Campus Bldg E01 2000 East El Segundo Boulevard Building E01, El Segundo, CA, 90245 USAPosition Role Type:UnspecifiedSUMMARY: Responsible for assigned developmental or depot support which requires programming, setup and operation of all types of machine tools to perform laboratory fabrication processes.TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Works from oral and written instructions, engineering drawings, rough sketches and CAD models where normal operating assignment involves a general outline of project.Plans sequence of operations, methods and machines to be used and most economical method to execute work project effectively.Sets up, programs and operates all manual and CNC machines. Designs, constructs, modifies, repairs and maintains temporary tooling jigs, fixtures and production aids. Makes use of shop mathematics including geometry and trigonometry.Checks completed details for tolerance and quality requirements.Works with supervision and engineering personnel on design and development of methods and procedures.Required Skills:

Experience using CAD/CAM software to post process and machine code development.

Experience with setup & operation of manual & CNC vertical mills, lathes, surface grinders, ID/OD grinders, and jig bores.

Experience with traditional hand operated inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages & gage blocks.

Experience interrogating drawings with a working knowledge of GD&T.

Experience with standard Windows OS & Office tools.

Desired Skills:

Experience using MasterCAM.

Experience with CREO CAD/CAM.

Understanding of GD&T standard ASME Y14.100.

Experience working around Aerospace Flight & Deliverable products.

Understanding and experience with common planning & routing for workflow and build/assembly instructions.

Required Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent
