Harry's House is an independent senior living community offering residents assistance with services including meals, transportation, housekeeping, and resident advocacy. This position, along with a strong team, is also the key leader regarding disaster planning and emergency planning and control. Other key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plan, schedule and coordinate general maintenance, major repairs, and remodeling or construction projects for residential properties
Inspect buildings, sites and equipment for needed repair and maintenance work
Respond to emergency calls for maintenance
Manage and oversee physical plant operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Conduct periodic inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Prepare and track property budget, and ensure expenditures are within budgetary limits
Ensure efficient use of department resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment
Maintaining high quality customer service standards and positive relations with residents, other department staff and vendors.
Scheduling, reviewing/planning work, maintaining standards, ensuring the work performed adheres to established project and quality specifications of the residents and community. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all safety standards, risk management, and infection control as required by enforcement agencies. Conducting move out and move in inspections. Monitoring facility grounds and making necessary repairs. Addressing working orders in a prompt manner. Ordering of both Maintenance and Housekeeping supplies.
To be successful in the role you would have:
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in maintenance trade fields
Vocational education in Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing trades preferred but not required.
Familiarity with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 99 Health Care Facilities Code and NFPA 101 Life Safety Code is a plus. Valid Driver's License. Advanced computer knowledge Yardi a plus.
