Our direct client is looking for Manager, BI and Analytics for a full-time direct hire in Cypress, CA 90630 Hybrid - Partial Remote - Partial Onsite (with occasional on-site when needed; few times a month)

  • Location: Cypress, CA
  • Salary Range: $145k - $160k
    • Annual Bonus Potential: up to 15%

The Manager, BI and Analytics is an integral member of the management team and is responsible for Business Intelligence dashboards, reporting and Data Analytics across the companies. Additionally, the Manager, will provide valuable insights for optimizing user experiences, leveraging best enterprise system practices, integrating existing systems, introducing newer technologies, creating program governance, and guiding stakeholders through program innovation strategy, risk analysis and resource optimization. Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience in a related field required
  • 5+ years of Technical Data/Analytics Management experience in a large enterprise-level environment
  • 5+ years of IT management experience required
  • 3+ years of experience using modern software delivery practices Agile, Lean Startup, Test Driven Development, MVP, XP methodologies
  • Strong SQL and Programming Skills, with experience working with various databases and dashboards
  • Experience in data mining and profiling: mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources
  • Exposure to emerging technologies such as Big Data, Serverless, IoT integration, AI, machine learning and deep learning preferred
  • Experience working in an Innovation Group or Innovation Lab preferred
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Qlik, etc.
  • Experience with Programming Languages such as C, C, JAVA, Python etc.
  • Experience in integrating, validating , manipulating and analyzing complex datasets from a variety of sources, to provide consolidated and meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Experienced working as a technical/functional leader managing stakeholder requirements
  • Experienced in managing relationships with vendors, partners, and customers
  • Demonstrable knowledge in technology with a focus on software and service products/trends
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project skills
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills; must have the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience
  • A team player with integrity, passion, initiative, and leadership ability

Technical Product Management
  • Drive the "how" of execution, developing the necessary plans to deliver cross-functional projects, on-time, on-budget, and with high quality
  • Have in-depth understanding of data and analytics and continuously search out best practices
  • Demonstrate highly effective practices when leading teams that produce significant business results
  • Ensure that project goals are met or exceeded within deadlines, scope, budget, and resource requirements
  • Align the direction, products, services, and performance to meet the varied needs of Reliance

  • Develop effective business intelligence strategies and analytics solutions
  • Build, develop and maintain reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions
  • Design and build technical processes to address business use cases
  • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions, key operations and performance metrics
