Northrop Grumman Space Components Business Unit designs, manufactures and operates small and medium-class spacecraft for communications, imaging, scientific, exploration and national security space applications. The Group is leading supplier of space components that power and enable satellites of all classes, provides technical engineering services to government agencies and laboratories, and is developing exciting new satellite servicing and advanced space flight technologies.

Northrop Grumman Space Components & Strategic Business has an opening for a Cyber Systems Engineering Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

Job Description:The selected candidate will lead the team responsible for technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for laboratory and manufacturing engineering systems.

Analyses are performed at all levels of the system to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. The selected candidate will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of program cyber security requirements, acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications Responsible to implement solutions which meet those specifications and program required timelines.

Responsibilities will also include direct supervision/management of the staff responsible for planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for related cyber security elements on all large development and production contracts.

Other responsibilities related to this position include providing oversight of all manufacturing shop floor cyber engineering process and improvement, planning and execution of the digital transformation initiatives with the manufacturing systems. This will also include maintaining and managing the cyber engineering requirements for the business areas.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant discipline with at least 12 years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 10 years of experience (appropriate combination of education will be considered in lieu of the degree)
  • People and project management experience with demonstrated leadership skills, including planning, scheduling, workload forecasting and proposal development.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Experience delivering IT solutions to laboratory and/or manufacturing environments
Preferred Qualifications:DoD Secret clearance or higher

Salary Range: $171,000 USD - $256,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
