We are looking for a hands-on Manager, IT to join our Commercial and Private Banking - Agent Servicing Technology team, which provides technology solutions and business process management solutions for our Global Services organization. The ideal candidate should have the necessary skills and experience to provide resource management, technical guidance, estimation of efforts, understanding and deciding upon the optimal technology solution to achieve the desired business needs, day to day application support, should be able to navigate differing levels of gray/unknowns, and have excellent communication skills with other IT management levels, individual contributors and business stakeholders. They must be able to move at a rapid pace of execution to deliver requests and take advantage of any opportunities as they present themselves and navigate through any resource constraints. They must have both the short- and long-term strategic view when deciding on the best technical approach. They must be able manage a team to develop code and effectively oversee distributed development team members.

As a Manager, primary responsibility will be towards managing the development and support of Global Operations and Enterprise Services technology solutions/projects. The Manager will be responsible for all resource management aspects for an engineering team that is focused on research, design, technology insertion, development, testing and supporting them.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing BPM solutions using Appian, workflow automation, system integrations and be able to optimize the use of database level processing.
  • Design and develop technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Provide development leadership (Architecture, Design, Development) for medium to large sized projects and maintenance on our client facing online and mobile banking systems.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to execute on the business requirements
  • Oversee proactive maintenance on our existing Iaas/SaaS and on premise applications within the Digital, Mobile, Cards, Merchant Services, Payments, Foreign Exchange, Core banking and Trade Finance space to ensure our mission critical systems remain stable, are able to scale as our business grows, and remain fit-for-purpose.
  • Coordinate and assist with troubleshooting of code defects, data errors and configuration problems to determine the origin of application error.
  • Exercise Judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Drive departmental best practices, guidelines implementation and adhere to standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 10+ Years of experience
  • Experience in resource management and managing large team of engineers
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Expert in Appian 20.x
  • Expert in Oracle DB/SQL, Web Services, Microservices
  • Expert in Appian component implementation, SAIL UIs, Custom Data Types (CDTs), Records, Dashboards, Sites
  • Expert in Appian Forms, Process Modelers, Rules & Expressions, Document Knowledge Center, Data Management through Complex Data Types, XSD's, and SQL queries
  • Experience in Appian system administration and management is preferred
  • Solid understanding of the online security both infrastructure and application side including but not limited to LDAP, Active Directory, Certificates etc.
  • Experience is cross functional delivery across other IT teams to integrate the Appian applications with other existing platforms
  • Experience with distributed systems architecture and design
  • Hands-on experience must include:
    • Design of UI SAIL Forms for Site and Tempo environment.
    • Design of CDTs that interact with external databases o Design of role-based access control Appian components.
    • Development of Records and Reports using SAIL.
    • Use of Appian Plugins for use in SAIL and process models o Ability to traverse logs to determine system and development errors.
    • Build/consumption of web services in Appian.
    • Design of expression rules, constants, and query rules.
    • Experience with complex enterprise integration services/solutions
  • Expert and working knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS / Azure
  • Post-delivery experience in assisting client teams in supporting the live application and perform hand-off and knowledge transfer activities, positioning our clients for long term success.
  • Experience and exposure to API gateways, working with SOA platforms like MuleSoft, APGIEE, Oracle ESB etc
  • Implementation experience with SAAS/PAAS based solutions.
  • Knowledge of Banking Services, Payments, Risk/Fraud, BSA/AML, KYC etc.
  • Experience implementing solutions using Agile/Kanban delivery methodologies
  • Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, detailed designing and development.
  • Experience creating functional & technical design documents following SDLC principles.
  • Experience in CI/CD, version control, deployments, cut-over planning & strategy, postproduction support etc.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile Methodologies in a distributed team environment is a plus.
