The Next Generation Storytelling team is seeking a technical product leader with strong technology and communication skills , and deep expertise leading innovative and next generation consumer experience s . T his leader will oversee the development of a connected ecosystem, consumer-facing platform that drive s persistent connections with consumers while unlocking new canvases for storytelling . This leader will champion change by ensuring goals are met through a combination of strong product strategy, new innovations , data analysis, process improvements, passionate execution and accountability.This role will work with a high performing, cross-functional teams to develop technical product roadmaps and deliver business impact. This individual will have strong experience in team leadership, exceptional partner management skills, an d will bring a deep understanding of the interplay between product , engineering, design, and the business to evolve capabilities through partnerships and advanced technical enhancements .The ideal candidate will be an accomplished leader and a skilled cross-functional collaborator, with experience in emerging technology and consumer - oriented technology services.  The role requires a solid foundation in technical product management, strategic leadership, team management, a nd the ability to rapidly synthesize complex information and drive strategic alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the technical product development of new consumer-facing platforms.Technical and product oversight over the process and underlying platforms that enable this work, and manage a team of product management leaders and product managers to build and maintain the consumer experiences.Establish systematic processes to drive long term roadmaps, new initiatives, and ongoing development of priority features and capabilities for each productManage partnerships and collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-division partners to develop, champion, and launch new initiativesIdentify and lead comprehensive cross-product strategies and product improvementsLead complex strategic and operational projects with cross-functional partners; drive to implementation and delivery of resultsDrive overall product vision and go-to market strategy ; bring clarity of thought to effectively structure, communicate, and ensure alignment on strategies and plansQUALIFICATIONSBS/BA in Computer Science, Marketing, Entertainment, Business, Media or related field7 + years’ experience in the media industry, preferably with experience in digital products and emerging technology.5+ years’ experience in technical product managementExperience driving product development , including experience navigating day-to-day decisions and trade-offsStrong relationship-building skills and experience working closely with senior executives and cross-functional partnersCreative and strategic thinker with proven ability to create and deliver strategic product plansEntrepreneurial mindset, proactive thinker with the ability to thrive in an often ambiguous, fast paced environment while navigating a complex organizational structure.Ability to think strategically and effectively communicate and executeExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent problem-solving, analytical, team management, and interpersonal skills.Strong team player who is also an independent thinker; effective at building relationships, collaborating, and influencing others; experience working with senior executives across various geographies and functionsPREFERREDExperience in technology, digital, media, and/or advertising businessLocation: Glendale,CaliforniaJob Posting Company:The Walt Disney Company and its Affiliated Companies are Equal Employment Opportunity employers and welcome all job seekers including individuals with disabilities and veterans with disabilities.
