Manufacturing Engineer

Description:Partner with management to develop and justify capital equipment plan for operations. Procure all necessary approvals for projects and activities. Perform analysis of processes, systems, methods, and procedure for the purposes of continuous improvement. Maintain state of the art knowledge of manufacturing technology and provide appropriate advice or recommendations to management concerning improvements or upgrades to operations. Design the layout of flows operations to maximize efficient material flow and optimum application of the technological means of production. Identify, select, cost justify, purchase, install, upgrade, modify and improve capital equipment used in production and warehouse. As necessary, design and supervise the building or installation of specialty equipment that will enhance the productivity of operations. Ensure projects meet their full success criteria including all safety, quality, performance, delivery, and budgetary requirements. Analyze, recommend, and implement activities that will maximize productivity and minimize cost in application of the technological and labor resources to the process. Implement and manage Lifetech’s improvement processes. Provide support, guidance, and assistance to all stakeholders. Ensure that appropriate preventative maintenance programs are developed and implemented by assigned personnel. Build strong relationships with other groups such as Production and Warehouse. Develop manufacturing processes. Improve manufacturing efficiency through analysis and planning of workflows, space requirements and equipment layouts.Skills:Lean manufacturing, cosmetics, Continuous improvement, six sigma, kanban systemTop Skills Details:Lean manufacturing,cosmetics,Continuous improvement,six sigma,kanban systemAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering. Knowledge and experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or 55/Kanban required. 3-5 years’ experience in engineering work involving manufacturing activity. Strong analytical skills to understand and interpret data and draw conclusions from it. Able to problem-solve when dealing with complex systems and processes. Knowledge of relevant technological, methodological, and other disciplines related to manufacturing. Have leadership qualities, good communication and accept feedback.
