Manufacturing Technician- Ceramic

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician - Ceramic TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time job opening for the position of Ceramic Technician, with the Manufacturing team in the San Leandro, CA facility. This position is responsible for helping transition products from design through manufacturing, as well as creating and improving procedures to make the production process more efficient.Responsibilities

Direct interaction with all phases of the ceramic manufacturing process including batch mixing, spray drying, green machining, kiln operations, and shipping/receiving.

Ensure detailed orientation and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to lift 25-50lbs routinely and work safely around chemicals.

Be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

Establish competence in troubleshooting problems on new and existing equipment, including PLC-controlled processing equipment.

Follow process instructions.

Complete all other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

High School Diploma.

5 – 7 years experience in a complex production/manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to work with, and as a member of work teams.

PC skills, including Microsoft Office.

Comprehensive knowledge of industrial manufacturing, including mechanical assembly and hydraulic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of ceramic manufacturing is a plus.
