Maritime Technology Consultant – Los Angeles (Contract)

Sierra Cybernetics is seeking a Maritime Technology Consultant to work for us supporting potential upcoming work for our government client – the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, CA.

As a Maritime Technology Consultant, you must have a deep understanding of maritime technology solutions and their industry applications. Your role involves collaborating with clients to assess their requirements, devise customized technology solutions, and offer continual support and guidance. Additionally, you will develop innovative technology solutions, implement and configure maritime technology systems, and deliver training and support to clients.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in maritime technology consulting

Strong knowledge of maritime technology systems and applications

Knowledge of maritime safety and security regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in maritime technology or related fields

Experience working with government or regulatory agencies in the maritime industry

Ability to recommend and implement technology-based solutions to improve efficiency, safety, and compliance.

Knowledge of communication systems, navigation technology, data management, and cybersecurity in a maritime context.
