We are continuously developing new answers for rail automation – often to questions that haven’t been asked yet.Position overview:As a Material Handler, you will support a broad range of activities in a dynamic, high energy warehouse environment providing all material to production departments for manufacturing the best rail vehicles in the world.What your day would look like:
Specific responsibilities may include receiving, putting away, picking, kitting, or delivering materials to production.
Ensure transactional accuracy for all material movements, making sure the correct quantity of material is moved to the specified location and that MRP system transactions are completed correctly.
Properly identify all materials with appropriate labels and part numbers.
Handle materials carefully to prevent any damage during warehouse handling or delivery to production.
Immediately notify your supervisor of any quality or delivery issues.
Use powered industrial vehicles for material movement. Certification may be required for tools and equipment such as cranes, forklifts, order pickers, scissor lifts, and fall protection equipment.
Follow all safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). Contribute to and maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
What you will need to be successful:
High school education or GED
2 years previous experience in a warehouse environment and data input
Basic English skills - ability to read and understand written instructions and effectively communicate verbally.
We would be impressed if you had:
Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
Powered Industrial Vehicle certification.
