job detailsjob summary:As a Materials Planner, you will play a critical role in orchestrating the seamless flow of materials essential for manufacturing operations within the dynamic environments of the Manufacturing and Medical Device industries. Your responsibilities encompass strategic procurement, inventory optimization, production scheduling, and process improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business or technical field preferred.

C.P.M. and/or CPIM certification preferred.

Minimum 3 years of applicable work experience preferred, with a background in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry highly desired.

Knowledge of Total Quality Management and Supplier Partnering concepts preferred.

Project management experience desirable.

Strategically order materials considering on-hand inventory, future requirements, material costs, shipping logistics, and inventory targets.

Develop, communicate, and execute long-term raw material (RM) and subassemblies/work-in-progress (WIP) operating plans to align with overall Finished Goods operating plans, sales forecasts, and production objectives.

Procure raw materials and MRO items in accordance with long-term operating plans, production demands, and company policies.

Analyze and reconcile inventory levels, establishing optimized targets to meet business objectives while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.

Plan and schedule daily production operations to meet shipping deadlines, customer orders, and production efficiency goals, while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and drive inventory optimization and process improvement initiatives, enhancing efficiency and reducing inventory.

Coordinate with warehouse teams to resolve material receiving and releasing issues.

Maintain Bill of Material accuracy in PRMS and planning systems, ensuring data integrity and system alignment.

Act as a key contributor in the implementation of inventory and production planning systems.

Operate effectively in a complex, global matrix environment, demonstrating strong leadership and teamwork skills.

Utilize problem-solving and analytical skills to address challenges and optimize processes.

Maintain current knowledge of US Customs regulations and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in PC computer skills, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), JD Edwards, and Rapid Response.
