Design of electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical systems for space environments

Support Major Program reviews such as Preliminary Design, Critical Design, Test Readiness, Production Readiness Reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR)

Develop and Test prototypes per requirements and specifications.

Support building deliverable Customer hardware (comfortable with hands-on work desired)

Analyze test results and recommend modifications as needed.

Manage small to medium sized engineering projects.

Work closely with the Leidos Production team and external vendors

Ensures that deliverables are accurate and compliant to our Quality Control Procedures.

Supports production and incorporates design changes via engineering changes.

What Sets You Apart:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field with 8-12 years of experience or Masters degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.

Experienced using CAD: Solidworks

Ability to work in a team environment, but also efficient working individually.

US Citizenship and ability to obtain SECRET clearance.

You’ll really WOW us having one or more of the following:

Proficiency with SolidWorks, Solidworks PDM and Solidworks FEA tools

Experience with shock, vibration and temperature testing

Experience with COTS electronic, electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical packaging

Demonstrated experience in the integration of electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical systems.

LInCPay Range:Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
