One of our media clients in Los Angeles, California area is looking for a Media Production Project Manager with the following skills and experience:

About the team

  • Team of 25 PM's support anything tech wise for having movie made
  • Getting tech Wi-Fi internet, storage,
  • Correct emails accesses, etc.
  • Who are er all out-sourcing outages
  • PM's who coordinate things to get fixed

This role

  • Be the PM directly with the shows
  • Sitting in show meetings
  • Taking requirements from diff show meetings
  • EX. Managing several 2 dozen shows/movies at same time
  • Looking at working directly with the show coordinators
  • Post supervisors
  • Touching show from primary photography, all the way to post production, coordinate data or footage that goes to VX editors and such
  • Ensure all creation process is smooth
  • If any tech needs or something goes down, they are the face of studio technology

Qualifications

  • Primarily someone already knows PM
  • Their group is very templatized
  • Insane amount of data 3,000 line project plan
  • Familiar with PM tools and project plans
  • Being able to understand data
  • Look at dashboards, if something is late, identify risks

Requirements

  • 1.PM experience
  • 2.Fast paced environment
  • Come from event planning or something with many vendors at same time
  • Able to pull to gather all of the cast
  • Personable understanding, calm on exterior
  • Show facing role
  • In face of limited info will go out ask questions and get things done
  • Not waiting for someone to give them directions to get results they need
  • Run the show and also pull diff pieces of p

Nice to haves

  • Technical experience
  • Infrastructure, networking
  • Production background
  • Understands the lingo of production (gives them an edge)
  • Not required in order to do job well

Tools

  • Smartsheet
  • MS Project
  • Project Plans
  • Excel - okay but not ideal bc more static
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Willing to learn on job
  • Pace is very fast, may be intense pace of work and expected hours of work
  • Hybrid position, may need them in the office 1-2 times per week
  • Shows also shooting all over the world so flex under working hours

3-5 years managing and developing team

  • No direct reports
  • May have coordinators assisting them
  • To be a lead and mentor to those who may be more junior to them
