Your responsibilities will include reviewing medical documents, assigning appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes, and ensuring compliance with all coding and billing regulations. Your work will directly impact the healthcare provider's ability to deliver quality services while maintaining financial stability.

Hold a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification from AHIMA.

Possess a minimum of [X] years of medical coding experience within a healthcare setting.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.

Show proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and coding software.

Have a strong grasp of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Pay close attention to detail and exhibit a commitment to accuracy.

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Understand healthcare compliance and privacy regulations (HIPAA).

Requirements

Review and analyze medical records to extract relevant information for coding purposes.

Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services.

Ensure that all coding adheres to federal and state regulations and coding guidelines.

Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to resolve coding-related inquiries and discrepancies.

Stay updated on coding changes and industry standards.

Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity while meeting coding deadlines.

Assist in the development and upkeep of coding policies and procedures.
