Description We are seeking a Medical Coder in Gardena, California, 90248, United States. This role is a short-term contract opportunity in the healthcare industry. As a Medical Coder, your responsibilities will encompass processing and maintaining patient data, auditing medical records, and utilizing various coding and health record systems. Responsibilities: Interpret and accurately code medical records using the 3M and 3m Coding systems. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality. Utilize the Allscripts, Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), and Cerner Technologies for patient data processing. Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure accuracy and integrity. Handle billing functions and claim administration effectively. Efficiently manage clinical trial operations and maintain relevant charts and graphs. Address and resolve patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Monitor patient accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Keep abreast of the latest developments in medical coding and participate in ongoing professional development activities. Requirements Proficiency in 3M and 3M Coding software is essential Familiarity with Eclinical Works Experience with Risk Adjustment CPC,CRC Certified Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations Relevant certification in medical coding is preferred Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
