Medical Device Production TechnicianLocation: Irvine, CaliforniaDescription
This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices mostly in a clean room environment.
The role includes the formulation of polymers and spray coating formulations, production of medical devices using a microscope, and the operation of various equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities
Operating machinery to produce medical devices that meet specifications.
Following manufacturing instructions and updating relevant job documentation accurately for traceability.
Product packing and sterilization preparation.
Product inspection using a microscope.
Ensuring activities comply with GMPs.
Setting up coating machines, coating, inspecting, and folding balloon catheters.
Preparing excipient formulations and spray coating formulations.
Testing formulations.
Packaging sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.
Identifying supplies that need replenishment.
Essential Skills
Experience in the medical device industry (2 to 3 years).
Proficiency in English (medium level).
Comfort working with chemicals.
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.
Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and other computer software packages.
Ability to communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to manufacturing supervisors and management.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment
Work is mostly performed in a cleanroom environment.
Positions require a lot of standing. The dress code includes cleanroom attire, and candidates must be familiar with gowning and de-gowning processes.
