MEP Manager

Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking for an MEP manager to work for a large construction subcontractor located in South Orange County/North San Deigo (San Clemente). The need is that this person is an expert when it comes to all things mechanical but is well rounded with electrical and plumbing as well. This person will be working on a team of about 20 others and they will responsible for supporting entry level project engineers and providing technical level advice. They will act as the technical expert that can play a middle ground between subcontractors, engineers, designers, and inspectors they will play as the SME and speak to things like what type of electrical testing need to be done on a medium level voltage and ensure designers are presenting the most cheap and effective ways to do things. This person will be coordinating work with the project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subtractors, as well as they will also be managing, estimating, and bidding processes and tracking costs to manage MEP budget. They will also write contracts and purchase orders using company boilerplate language to document all ordered work, schedules, projected costs, change orders and technical specifications. Overall, they will be tracking the project schedule and project phase completion against the milestones, as well as documenting the technical, financial and personnel aspects of each project.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
