Pronto automates the operations that power the global economy. Founded in 2018, our team has been at the forefront of major milestones in self-driving and robotics, including the first, and only, fully autonomous cross-country drive from California to New York. We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team. As an early DevOps hire, you'll be instrumental in building out the critical systems needed to deploy our hardware and software products. What You'll Do:

  • Deploy, update, manage and maintain our production applications
  • Design and implement new solutions
  • Write and modify Infrastructure-as-Code to comply with accreditation frameworks as needed
  • Ensuring service uptime by developing automation for incident response, provisioning, and retirement of systems
  • Monitor software rollouts and respond to any issues that may arise
  • Work with other teams across the organization to balance requirements and meet goals
Requirements
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional development experience
  • AWS
  • IAC
  • Build out CI/CD from scratch
  • Strong scripting, need you to be able to write loops, arrays, and glue code
Familiarity or interest in the following tooling:
  • Configuration Management: Terraform, Packer, Consul, or Vault
  • CI/CD: Github Actions
  • Logging/visualization: ELK or Grafana
  • Motivation to leave things better than you found them
  • An inclusive and inquisitive mindset when it comes to problem solving
  • Excellent at handling ambiguous or undefined problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • You collaborate effectively with others and communicate clearly about your work
This is a full-time position located in San Francisco, CA, with some flexibility to work from home. We offer generous pay, equity, medical, vision and dental insurance, 401k benefits, unlimited PTO, and lunch provided in our SOMA office every Tuesday and Thursday. EQUITY Interview Process:
  • 1st - 30 minute phone call with two Engineers (Alex and Kemal) on how would you solve X problem. They wants to see how you break problems down.
  • 2nd -Coding test, not Leet Code, more scripting and with your choice in language.
  • 3rd - Meet a few people on IT team
  • 4th - Onsite round in person asking about how would you tackle this problem

  • Anthony Levandowski has a sorrid past which you can learn about on his wiki or just googling him. His legal issues have been entirely resolved and there will not be anything else that comes up moving forward, but I also understand if you don't want to move forward because of this.
    • He helped create Waymo at Google, left to create his own company Otto to create self-driving tractor trailers, was acquired by Uber, and convicted of stealing information from Google. But like I said, that has been entirely resolved.
