Mobile QA Engineer for Global Consumer Device Company in Mountain View, CA

Summary: Join a globally known consumer device company as a Mobile QA Engineer contributing to user experience. You will have the opportunity to join a highly communicative and collaborative team, work on product releases and provide solutions to ensure the highest caliber for their well-known products. You will be responsible for designing test cases and performing test execution for various Cloud services under our Knox solutions. This is a new project, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the project with your contributions. The ideal candidate is expected to have knowledge in debugging, Testing concepts, Android Application testing, and client-server Applications.Candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule being onsite 3 days a week, Tuesday and Wednesday are fixed.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand the business requirements for the team and project.
  • Create test cases covering E2E scenarios.
  • Defect logging and defect tracking until bug closure.
  • Automating Web Portal for the product.
  • Takes ownership/responsibility for the product quality during monthly releases.
  • Support development in Bug reproduction.
  • Coordinate with program management, Developers and QA leads.
  • Coordinate with internal and offshore team for test execution and bug reproduction.
  • Work primarily as an individual and contribute when needed with cross-functional teams.
  • Work from start to finish on debugging issues including identifying the different ways to debug, retrieving the logs, analysis of bugs and present them to the development team.

Required Skillset:
  • 5+ years of experience in Mobile Testing.
  • 3+ years of experience in testing Android Applications.
  • Experience/Knowledge in Native Applications.
  • Strong experience in writing test cases and test plans.
  • Strong experience in Mobile Apps testing covering GUI, Functionality and Usability.
  • Previous experience with client-server testing.
  • Strong debugging skills (ADB or any other debugging tools) including how to debug the issue, different ways to pull logs, different ways to debug, and analysis of the debugging.
  • Previous experience in Web Application Automation.
  • Strong knowledge of QA concepts and methodologies.
  • Previous experience performing test execution.
  • Strong knowledge in testing concepts.
  • Experience/Knowledge in Java.
  • Strong experience automating and knowledge on the best practices of automation.

Bonus Skillset:
  • Experience testing wearable applications.
  • Experience in testing cloud services.
  • Previous experience working with internal and offshore teams.
  • Previous experience working with 70/30 (70 Mobile).

Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid schedule working onsite 3 days a week)

Type: Contract

Duration: 12+ months

Pay Range: $45 - $55/H (DOE)
