Description SAIC in support of our Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team has an immediate need for Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Engineer in El Segundo, California with mission experience in Department of Defense (DoD) space-based and ground systems including Command & Control and Enterprise Ground Services. Candidate will provide systems engineering development and integration expertise in support of the Space Systems Command (SSC) MW and Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) programs. Candidate will be part of a team responsible for the full lifecycle of systems engineering activities for the next generation of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) satellites and ground systems to enable on-time delivery of capability to the warfighter. Primary responsibilities include:
  • Developing modeling solutions for each phase of the find, fix, target, track, engage, and assess chain using sensor, effects, and communications technologies
  • Developing algorithms, writing simulations, and analyzing key performance parameters associated with space and ground sensor system design
  • Supporting analysis activities by integrating performance models with MBSE models and tools
  • Quantifying performance impacts and sensitivity to changes in CONOPS, scenarios, and/or threats
  • Developing and briefing data packages that provide analysis results to inform the government decision-makers
  • Working closely with the government customer to understand needs and collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force
Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and nine (9) or more years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, and mission analysis techniques and tools, including Matlab and System Toolkit
  • Experienced at self-starting, seeking solutions, and working well in a team environment
  • Experience scripting for analysis purposes
  • Demonstrated experience working with Space Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with space and/or ground systems
Desired Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI
  • Experience working in an Agile team/framework
  • Experience with AFSIM, MODTRAN, SSGM, or other comparable modeling and simulation tools
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using Sparx Enterprise Architect, Cameo Enterprise Architect or other comparable tools
  • OPIR and SBEM Mission experience is highly desirable
#RSSE&I Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
