Responsibilities: aria-hidden="true" • In partnership with application development teams, research, evaluate, and recommend aria-hidden="true" appropriate database solutions for applications being built. aria-hidden="true" • Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement DB performance and monitoring aria-hidden="true" solutions. aria-hidden="true" • Create a repeatable and automated process for performing regular system checks on aria-hidden="true" existing production systems. aria-hidden="true" • Work with DB team and application teams to address any issues. Measure results. aria-hidden="true" • Participate in 24/7 support by acting as an escalation point for any production issues for aria-hidden="true" the L1 team. aria-hidden="true" • Partner with application development teams to optimize and utilize best practices for DB aria-hidden="true" usage. aria-hidden="true" Position Requirements: aria-hidden="true" • Experience working with traditional DBMS systems like MySQL or Postgres a plus aria-hidden="true" Strong MongoDB database design experience. (Data modeling, data design, etc) aria-hidden="true" • 4+ years hands-on experience working with various NoSQL DBs with a preference of aria-hidden="true" MongoDB, Couchase, and DynamoDB aria-hidden="true" • 6+ years hands-on experience architecting, deploying, and managing DB solutions in aria-hidden="true" public cloud architectures with a strong emphasis on AWS aria-hidden="true" • Strong hands-on experience with performance tuning DB technologies via DB settings, aria-hidden="true" OS parameters, and DB sharing aria-hidden="true" • Strong hands-on experience with query performance tuning aria-hidden="true" • Strong hands-on experience managing multi-region deployments (active/active or active / aria-hidden="true" slave) in a public cloud. aria-hidden="true" • Sound knowledge on MongoDB collection and indexes & aggregation framework. aria-hidden="true" • Proficient in designing and developing enterprise solutions using MongoDB. aria-hidden="true" • Responsible for data migration including scripts. aria-hidden="true" • Hands on operational experience like scaling, HA, monitoring, security, and backup. aria-hidden="true" • MongoDB Clustering and Sharding experience. aria-hidden="true" • Knowledge on migration tools like MongoDB pumper etc. aria-hidden="true" Desired Characteristics: aria-hidden="true" • Hands-on experience architecting, deploying and managing databases in a container aria-hidden="true" environment such as Kubernetes aria-hidden="true" • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Focus aria-hidden="true" • Proven ability to independently lead projects to completion. aria-hidden="true" aria-hidden="true" • Experience working with geographically diverse teams. aria-hidden="true" • Strong written and verbal communication skills aria-hidden="true" Required education: aria-hidden="true" • Bachelor's aria-hidden="true" Required experience: aria-hidden="true" • Mongo DB: 4+ years
