TEAM

The mission of the Woven IT Engineering team is to increase productivity and accelerate the delivery of software and services for both Woven Planet and the larger Toyota organization as a whole. We do this by building and integrating best-of-breed cutting-edge technologies to help engineering teams go faster, safer. By providing modern, agile and transparent services to our customers, we aim to realize Woven Planet's vision of "Mobility to Love, Safety to Live".

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a network engineering team specialist with deep networking expertise including Software Defined Networking (SDN), Autonomous Systems (AS), and the ability to deliver world-class networking solutions using leading-edge technologies. You are passionate about automation, speed, reliability, scalability, security, and the impact your team can have on the business through modern networking infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
    • Work with networking hardware and software vendors to deliver high-value solutions
    • Respond to complex issues and problems when necessary ensuring that all issues and problems are worked on until the issue is resolved. Conduct post-mortems capturing learnings and actions
    • Establish documented procedures, policies, and processes relating to the network and its governance
    • Support the design, development, documentation, implementation, and operation of the network
    • Maximize the level of automation and self-service features reducing manual toil and operational expense
    • Provide visibility of network performance metrics
    • Work with colleagues across the IT function, and security team to build and maintain a stable and secure network
Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 5+ years of experience in related field
    • Experience with building and operating large-scale enterprise networking
    • Experience with deploying and operating high-performance networking (40G/100G/400G)
    • Experience with enterprise networking equipment from Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Aruba / or other vendors
    • Excellent communication and people engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications:
    • Ability to speak business-level Japanese to communicate our stakeholder company
    • Experience with hosted environments such as AWS, Google Compute Engine, or Azure
    • Experience with deploying and operating software-defined networking (SDN)
    • Designing large-scale enterprise networking or MDF/IDF infrastructure
    • Designing and building Autonomous System (AS) by BGP protocol
    • Implementing and tuning network and systems security in a large, complex multi-site environment
    • Operational knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM management through Infoblox
    • Good Understanding of Infrastructure Security, Zero Trust, SAML IdP
    • Experience in configuring OSPF, BGP routing protocols
    • Production-level network automation experience by using like Ansible or Terraform
    • Agile/Scrum experience in delivering infrastructure
