Job#: 1342203 Job Description: ROLE: Network EngineerClearance: Active TS/SCI with CI PolyCertifications: Current Security+ or other IAT certification.Customer Location: Redondo Beach, CALocal Candidate is preferred but remote candidates will be considered if they are willing to travel onsite as the customers requests.Requirements:•Bachelor degree and/or 5 years in information technology related field of study with a network engineering focus.•Networking skills required are CISCO ACI and Spine Leaf.•Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.•Required to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. Individual will need to be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers. A deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols is highly desired.Responsibilities:• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including VPNs, systems software, applications software, hardware (e.g. routers), and configurations.• Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.• Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.• Replace faulty network hardware components when required.• Maintain, configure, and monitor virus protection software and email applications.• Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.• Confer with network users about solving existing system problems.• Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.• Coordinate computer network access and use.• Design, configure, and test networking software, computer hardware, firewalls, and operating system software.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
