Job Posting: Night Watchman/Scale Attendant

Position: Part-Time Night Watchman/Scale Attendant (Up to 30 hours per week)

Are you a reliable self-starter looking for independent part-time work? If so, you might be just who we’re looking for! We’re a trucking company seeking an additional night watch for our Redding yard.

Key Responsibilities:

Observe all inbound and outbound traffic from our company trucking yard.

Walk around the yard to check the condition of equipment, including trucks and trailers.

Escalate any damage observed to management’s attention.

Remain onsite and alert during your full shift.

Manage public scale, maintain respect and demeanor.

Qualifications:

Strong observational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to remain alert and focused throughout the shift.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience in security or a related field is a plus.

Scale Attendant:

Basic math skills for calculating weights and measurements and legible penmanship.

Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and reporting.

Accuracy and attention to detail to ensure accurate weight measurements and compliance with regulations.
