Mercy General Hospital is proud to foster inclusion and diversity as part of our mission vision and values.ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent demonstrates competency in occupational therapy for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients as applicable for the site/level of care of employment. the incumbent provides patient assessment, develops and implements individual patient treatment programs, provides therapeutic interventions utilizing current and effective methodologies, and maintains effective documentation.The Occupational Therapist evaluates and conducts medically prescribed occupational therapy treatment programs in an inpatient rehabilitation unit setting. Supervises occupational therapy assistants in performing treatment. Supervises students.Responsibilities:

Provides initial evaluation of patient's abilities and designs appropriate intervention plans.

Treats patients with therapeutic procedures modalities and or equipment to improve function.

Assures efficient management of work processes by completing tasks and assignments by time standards.

Completes post-intervention activities: session closure documentation communication charge capture.

QualificationsQualifications:MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education:

Current state licensure as an occupational therapist

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Provider from American Heart Association
