Seeking EXPERIENCED office administrative assistant for small family owned construction company in Palm Desert. We are a General Contractor specializing in home and office remodels. Must have excellent use of the English Language and Grammar. Must be comfortable making phone calls, responding to emails and communicating all information to business owner daily. The ideal candidate MUST be experienced with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Light QuickBooks knowledge is needed. The day to day routine consists of answering and returning calls, opening mail, responding to emails daily, process bi-weekly payroll, paying the bills in a timely manner, communicating with clients, vendors and sub-contractors, typing proposals and invoices and general office duties. Very flexible hours during the week (M-F) 3-4 days per week.
Qualifications include: Excellent typing skills and the ability to take notes and convert the notes into a proposal. Must know construction terminology and be assertive. Prefer someone with experience working in a construction office and has a stable job history.
This would be a perfect position for someone who may be semi-retired desiring to work a few days a week as needed.
