Note: This is a 5 day onsite position at Culver City , Los AngelesOne of our clients in Los Angeles is looking for a mid level Network Engineer with the following skills and experience:Requirements3-5 years of hands-on experience with Network Routing and Switching TechnologiesJob Summary- Set up, configure, install and troubleshoot network firewalls, switches, and other network components to support all aspects of the day-to-day operations.
- Perform day-to-day administration and operational functions of the network infrastructure.
- Monitor/Maintain the network (WAN/LAN)
- Documentation of Procedures / Networking environment (ensure that all network documentation is accurate and up to date).
- Management of hardware images and configuration backups.
- Review, test, apply security patches and functionality updates.
- Document issue resolution using the helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Maintain excellent communication with all end-users and other members of the technology department.
- Must be a team player.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot networks for clients and/or handle front-end network issues. This involves excellent communication skills, the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical individuals.
- Analytics and troubleshooting:
- Critical Thinking, analyze and solve network issues before and after they arise.
- Crucial analytical Skills
- Security/Firewalls
- Network security is crucial. Maintain and sometimes deploy firewalls within the network.
- Implement new security systems as it relates to network security.
Networking- Network and routing Skills (LAN, WAN, SDWAN, MLPS Etc)
- DNS, DHCP, IOT, Fiber, VPN, NAS, SAN
Preferred Qualifications- Degree in Information Security/Information Technology/Computer Science/Computer Engineering is a plus
- Programming Languages a plus
- Certifications are a plus
