Job DescriptionCompany: APOLISTitle: Network Engineer IDuration: 3 + Months extendable contractLocation: Los Angeles, CA 90032 (Local candidates ONLY)Rate: $45/hr - $60/hr on W2 depends on experience.Consultant should be comfortable to work as per any of the below schedule.Schedule Option 1 (40 hour per week – over 5 days) - 1:30 – 10:30 pm Monday – Thursday (8 hours per day w/ 1 hr lunch)Schedule Option 2 (40 hours per week – over 5 days) - 11:30 – 10:30 pm Monday – Thursday (10 hours per day w/ 1 hr lunch)Schedule Option 3 (32 hours per week – over 4 days) - 1:30 – 10:30 pm Monday – Thursday (8 hours per day w/ 1 hr lunch) Summary:• Maintains department's local area network.• Manages the LAN performance. Troubleshoots problems.• Maintains LAN security. Implements and enforces security procedures.• Documents and implements system standards and procedures. Monitors to ensure user adherence.• Assigns, modifies, and deletes user accounts and resolves security access problems; maintains integrity of the security system.• Maintains documentation for systems administration procedures.• Performs data backups and disaster recovery operations. Repairs and/or recovers systems.• Configures, and tests computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.• Provides audio-visual and multi-media technical services to faculty, staff and students of university schools and departments for special events, instructional, classroom, and/or business purposes.• Demonstrates usage of classroom audio-visual equipment to faculty, staff and students• Participate in helpdesk support and maintain stakeholders systems.o Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot desktop computers, software, and other devices as required.- MacOS- Windows 10• Perform other technical related duties as required.• Knowledgeable with Windows Servers (not a beginner)o Manage Microsoft Active Directory on a Windows domain• Demonstrate a good understanding in the installation, configuration and administration of VMWare vSphere, VMware vCenter.• Plan and organize their work.• Meet schedules and timelines• Ability to learn and adapt to changing environment• Ability to document their work• Respond to Service Queue tickets through the ZenDesk (our ticketing system)o Provide technical assistance to faculty, staff and studentso Configure Workstations and Laptop for deployment.Technical Skills: • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2012 , 2019, etc)• VMware experience• Office 365• Windows 10 support• MacOS support• Networks Total Experience Required: Minimum 6 Years Certification: Relevant certification would be a huge plus.
